Privacy policy

Caseroom (caseroom.pk) helps you practise case interview frameworks. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else handles it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, first name, and either a password (stored only as a one-way hash) or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
- Your practice: the frameworks you type, the scores and feedback you receive, and when you practised.
- Community activity: posts, comments, votes and direct messages you send to other users.
- Settings: preferences such as whether your stats are visible to others.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app keeps your sign-in token and preferences in your browser's local storage.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure, including sending password reset codes by email.
- To structure, score and give feedback on your frameworks, and to show your progress over time.
- To run the community features you choose to use.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Railway hosts the app and its database.
- Anthropic processes the frameworks you submit to structure and score them.
- Deepgram turns interviewer prompts into speech. It receives the case text, not your answers.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose "Sign in with Google".
- Resend delivers password reset emails.
Each of these services only receives what it needs to do its job.
Your choices
- You can hide your stats from other users under Profile & Privacy.
- You can ask us to export or delete your account and data by emailing aneeqsheikh8@gmail.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and practice history until you ask us to delete them. Password reset codes are deleted within a week.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. For significant changes we will let you know in the app.
